Post NSD Top 150-Florida

Keyshawn Green-Wakulla star signs with Nebraska

Over 300 football prospects from the state of Florida sign on the dotted line each year on NSD. This year was no different and once the final tally is done it could be close to 400 student athletes. The state of Florida continues to produce as much or more football prospects on a yearly basis then any other state. When you look at the NFL it is not much different as players like Nick Bosa are making their impact felt DAY 1. Below is our final post season list for the class of 2020. There are many players who are just outside the top 150 which will end up stars as well.

  1. Jalen Carter-Apopka-DT-6’4-300: (Signed with UGA): Carter is one of the most athletic defensive tackles to come out of Florida in the past ten years. His athletic ability in on display when he burst off the ball. He is able to stop the run and is also very effective as a pass rusher. He is a complete player and we expect him to make an impact on Day 1.
  2. Gervon Dexter-Lake Wales-DE-6’6-275: (Signed with UF): While Carter is a natural fit inside at defensive tackle, Dexter is probably a more versatile player. You can line him up as a defensive end in a 3-4. You can play him as a 5-tech. You can slide him inside in a 4-3 defense. He has the size and length to be a dominant force on the defensive line. Like with Carter we expect him to make an immediate impact in college.
  3. Elias Ricks-IMG Academy: 6’2-190: (Signed with LSU): Ricks is the premier cornerback in the state of Florida. After transferring in to IMG, he became the top player at his position right away. He has great cover skills. His ability to stick to receivers is elite. He is also a pretty good player in run support.
  4. Chantz Williams-Oakleaf-DE-6’4-220 (Signed with UM): Williams is the best pure pass rusher in Florida this year. He has a nice first step off the ball. His ability to get up the field causes problems for most offensive tackles. He is also stout against the run and is effective at the point of attack.
  5. Demarkcus Bowman-Lakeland-RB-5’11-190: (Signed with Clemson): Bowman is the type of back that can run around or through you. While slightly under 6’0 there may not be a more punishing style of back in Florida this year. He has the ability to run the ball between the tackles. You can also have stretch runs and let him take advantage of his speed and quickness to get to the edge. He is also very effective in the passing game.
  6. Fred Davis-Trinity Christian-CB-6’1-175: (Signed with Clemson): Davis is a pure shut down cornerback. He has good size and with his speed there may not be a better all-around cornerback in Florida. His length gives receivers plenty of problems at the line of scrimmage.
  7. Keyshawn Greene-Wakulla-LB-6’3-220 ( Signed with Nebraska): Greene is one of the best athletes to play linebacker in Florida. He has size and can run. He is one of the few linebackers who can drop into coverage and cover a tight end or receiver. He is also very physical and can play the run. You are looking at one of the more complete players at his position.
  8. Donell Harris-Gulliver Prep-DE-6’5-210: (Signed with Texas A&M): Harris would have been one of the top ten players in Florida for the class of 2021. Here is a kid is very similar to Brian Burns coming out of high school. Harris will be one of the top pass rushers in Florida this year. He needs to gain weight to handle stopping the run in college.
  9. Demorie Tate-Orlando Freedom-CB-6’2-190: (Signed with FSU): Tate was a relative unknown until the past few months. He has shown at off-season camps to be one of the top cover corners in Florida. He gives you a defensive back not only with the size but the speed and quickness to handle any receiver.
  10. Timothy Smith-Sebastian River-DT-6’4-300 (Signed with Alabama): Smith looks like an SEC defensive lineman. He is a big, wide bodied defensive tackle that can force teams to double him up. He is very stout against the run. He is the type of defensive lineman that is almost impossible to move off the ball.
  11. Carson Beck-QB-Mandarin-6’4-220: (Signed with UGA): As a junior, Beck led his team to the 8A State Finals. He put on an all-time great performance. He has the arm to make most of the throws. He is a pure pocket passer that can run as a last resort.
  12. Xzavier Henderson-WR-6’3-180: (Signed with Clemson):  When all is said and done it would not surprise us if Henderson ends up the best receiver to come out of this class. He has electric speed. He is a guy that you give an inch and he will go a mile. He is a game changer at the receiver position.
  13. Don Chaney-Belen Jesuit-RB-5’11-200: (Signed with Miami): Chaney has been on the recruiting scene since his freshman season at Belen. He has continued to improve every season. He has the size to pound the rock between the tackles. He also has the speed and quickness to get to the edge. Chaney can also give you a threat out of the backfield as a receiver.
  14. Michael Redding-IMG Academy-WR-6’2-190: (Signed with UM): Redding looks like a grown man when you see him in person. His size is going to cause problems for smaller defensive backs. He is not a guy you can jam easily at the line of scrimmage. He also has the speed and quickness to stretch the field.
  15. Marcus Dumervil-Saint Thomas-OT-6’6-300: (Signed with LSU): Marcus looks the part. He has great size and length for a tackle. You would like to see him dominate the point of attack more often. He is a very solid pass blocker. He needs to learn to finish. We would like to see him engage a defensive lineman and drive them backwards.
  16. Jaquavion Fraziers-Dunnellon-Ath.-6’4-190 (Signed with UF): Frazier’s is one of the better looking prospects in this year’s class. Where do you play him? That is a question that will need to be answered once he steps on campus. He would like to play wide receiver. We project him more as a linebacker or possibly even defensive end.
  17. Malachi Wideman-Sarasota Venice-6’2-200: (Signed with Tennessee): Wideman is a great athlete. You turn on his basketball film and the kid jumps out of the gym. On the football field he has the ability to be the best receiver in this year’s class. He has great athletic ability and his speed and quickness allow him to stretch the field.
  18. Avantae Williams-Deland-S-6’0-170 (Signed with UM): Williams has been the top rated safety in Florida for the past two years. He has good size and Williams can run. He is the type of player that you can line him up at linebacker or strong safety and have him near the line of scrimmage. You can line him up over a tight end. You move him back to the secondary. His versatility made him a must have target and Miami got a good one on NSD.
  19. Derek Wingo-Saint Thomas-LB-6’2-210 (Signed with UF): Wingo is a football player. He first started off as quarterback. He has since moved to linebacker. He is the guy who is going to call the defensive plays. He is very effective as a run stuffer. He can also drop into coverage and help shut down the pass.
  20. Arian Smith-Lakeland-Ath.-6’0-190: (Signed with UGA): Smith may be the best athlete in the state of Florida this year. Here is a kid that runs a sub 10.5 (1oom). He has the ability to score a touchdown anywhere on the field. When you have his type of speed there are going to plenty of schools who will want your services.
  21. Isaiah Walker Jr-Miami Norland-6’4-265: (Signed with UF) Walker probably has as much upside as any offensive tackle in the country. He has size, length and is very athletic. He can play either tackle spot and be effective. He does a good job of firing off the ball and driving his man backwards. He also has the lateral quickness to handle speed rushers.
  22. Jalen Rivers-Oakleaf-OT-6’5-330: (Signed with UM): Rivers is versatile enough to play tackle or guard in college. He is very effective as a run blocking lineman. He also can pass protect but some quickness off the edge could give him some issues. At worst you play him at right tackle and he will start for 2-3 years.
  23. Jaylan Knighton-Deerfield Beach-RB-5’10-180 (Signed with Miami) There are four elite running backs in the state of Florida this year, Knighton is one of them. He is the type of player that has great quickness. He can get to the edge and beat a defense. He also is a guy who is not afraid to run between the tackles. While he is a very good running back, Knighton is also a threat out of the backfield as a receiver.
  24. Jeffrey Sims-Sandalwood-QB-6’3-185: (Signed with Georgia Tech): We feel Sims could end up the top quarterback in this year’s class two years from now. He has a big time arm and can make every throw asked of him. He can also beat you with his legs. Once he develops as a quarterback there is no telling how good Sims can get.
  25. Caziah Holmes-Cocoa-Ath.-6’0-170 (Signed with Penn State): Holmes plays running back but it would not surprise us to see him play receiver or defensive back in college. He has the speed and quickness to make an impact on either side of the football. Holmes also has the toughness you want in a football player. One of the big reasons why Cocoa has made runs to the state title is having a player like Holmes on their roster.
  26. Marcus Fleming-Southridge-WR-5’10-175 (Signed with Nebraska): Fleming is another player who can change the momentum on one play. Get him the ball in the open field and let him do his magic. He can make the first defender miss and go the distance. He has next level speed and that is why Fleming is such a hot commodity.
  27. Ladarius Tennison-Rockledge-Ath-5’11-190: (Signed with Auburn): Tennison is one of the best football players in the state of Florida. He may not be the biggest or fastest players but go and watch him play in person and Tennison is all over the field. He just makes plays. These are the types of players who help you win Championships at the next level. He is a leader on and off the field.
  28. Leonard Manuel-Stranahan-WR-6’4-200 (Signed with UF): Talent wise, Manuel may be the most gifted receiver in the country. He has size and speed. He is a major miss-match for smaller defensive backs. He has the looks of a future NFL talent. What he needs to do is take care of matters off the field.
  29. Kevone Lee-Superior Collegiate Academy-RB: (Signed with Penn State):  Most years Lee would be ranked as the top running back in Florida. He comes out in a year where there are three other elite backs available. He brings a different style of back. Lee is more of a punishing running back. He will run downhill and look for defenders to hit. He is also the type of player we could see playing linebacker in college.
  30. Thaiu Jones Bell-Carol City-WR-5’11-180 (Signed with Alabama): Jones Bell is probably the top slot receiver in Florida this year. He is the type of player you can’t allow get in the open field. If that happens you will hear the band play. He is electric in the open field. We could see him make an impact as a freshman on special teams.
  31. Marcus Rosemy-Saint Thomas-WR-6’1-175 (Signed with UGA): Rosemy is the type of receiver who can make the most difficult catch look easy. It is the ones that are easy that Rosemy needs to bring in. He gives you a receiver with a combination of speed and quickness. He needs to become more consistent from game to game.
  32. Elijah Roberts-Columbus-DE-6’4-245 (Signed with UM): Had the chance to watch Roberts recently. He has really developed physically over the past few years. Here is a kid that can eventually end up inside. He is best at stopping the run. Roberts is a player who goes hard on almost every down. He will make plays when it looks like there is no chance for him to do so.
  33. Marlon Martinez-Saint Thomas-OT-6’5-290: (Signed with LSU): Martinez is listed as a tackle but we see him more as a guard in college. He is a mauler type lineman. He will come off the ball and does well when a guy is right in front of him. He is not super athletic so defensive lineman with some speed and quickness could give him some problems. He is the type of player who does well in a phone booth. Get him in space and Martinez is not as effective.
  34. Bryan Robinson-Palm Beach Central-6’1-190: (Signed with FSU): Robinson is a receiver who has been on the recruiting radar for three years now. He has solid speed and the type of quickness that defenders better be careful or he will break them down. He is a guy you can throw the ball to on third down and he will move the chains.
  35. Morvean Joseph-Lake Gibson-DE-6’3-220: (Signed with Tennessee): Joseph is an old school defensive end. He will end up around 250 and play at 6’2 or 6’3. He is not one of those big, long, athletic ends. What he brings is a guy with the speed and quickness to play off the edge. He can get after the quarterback. He is also strong enough to hold up against the run.
  36. Joshua Braun-Suwannee-OT-6’6-300: (Signed with UF): Braun is another versatile lineman in the state of Florida this year. He is listed as a tackle but we could easily see him play guard or center at the next level. He is a guy who relies more on his strength than his overall athletic ability. He is a very effective run blocker. You will see him come off the ball and sustain his blocks.
  37. Samuel Anaele-Carol City-DE-6’4-240 (Signed with UK): Anaele is a prospect that looks like he is already in college. He has great size. He is a defensive end that is going to be best on the strong side. He can help stop the run. He can be effective as a pass rusher but his strength is stopping the run.
  38. Jaylen Harrell-Berkeley Prep-DE-6’3-230: (Signed with Michigan): Harrell started his career as a linebacker. He eventually grew into a defensive end. With his athletic ability there will be plenty of suitors for Harrell. He has the speed and quickness to come off the edge and rush the passer. He can also play the passing lanes well.
  39. Lejond Cavazos-IMG Academy-S-6’1-190: (Signed with Ohio State): Cavazos is a very good athlete who happens to play football. Can he put it all together on the football field? There is no question he is one of the better athletes to play safety. He has the size and length you want in a defensive back.
  40. Henry Parrish-Columbus-RB-5’11-180: (Signed with Ole Miss): Parrish started the season with a game against Belen Jesuit where he went for over 300 yards. He finished the season catching two touchdowns to help lead Columbus to a state championship. Here is a kid that just finds a way to produce. He will make an immediate impact at the next level.
  41. Richard Leonard-Cocoa-OT-6’3-290 (Signed with UF): Leonard plays tackle in high school. We project him more as a guard/center. He gives you a player with some toughness. He will not back down. He comes off the ball and looks for someone to hit. He is very effective as a run blocker. Some guys with size may give him some issues as a pass blocker in college.
  42. Jaiden Francois-South Dade-DB-5’11-180 (Signed with Nebraska): Jaiden is not the biggest or fastest defensive back in Florida. There may not be a player who produces more. Every game we go to where Francois plays, he intercepts a pass. He has great ball skills. His instincts are 2nd to no one.
  43. Willie Moise-Chaminade-DT/OG-6’3-285 (Did not sign): Moise plays defensive line in high school. We project him more as an offensive lineman. He is very athletic. You watch him in person and Moise is very light on his feet. He runs like a skilled prospect. You take his defensive mentality and put him on offense and you will see Moise shine.
  44. Kendall Dennis-Lakeland Kathleen-DB-6’0-180: (Signed with Oklahoma): While there are other defensive backs rated ahead of Davis, he may end up one of the best in this year’s class. He has all the tools from the size that college recruiters like to speed. His coverage skills are also very good.
  45. Dominic Mammarelli-Naples-TE-6’4-230 (Signed with Miami): The state of Florida does not produce a ton of tight ends but this is a good year to recruit one. Dominic is a guy who plays in a run orientated offense. He can line up and block the guy in front of him. He can also run down the seam of a defense and beat you. He is the most complete tight end in Florida this year.
  46. Kentron Poitier-Miami Palmetto-WR-6’4-200: (Signed with FSU) : In 2-3 years you look back at this receiver class and it would not surprise us to see Poitier end up one of the better players at his position. He has great size and Kentron can run. He is a raw prospect that needs to be developed. The former basketball player is just learning the game of football.
  47. Warren Brinson-IMG Academy-DT-6’5-300 (Signed with UGA): Brinson is another impressive looking prospects. He has size and length. He is going to play inside and be very effective stopping the run at the next level. In a 3-4, Brinson can play defensive end. He is very effective at holding the edge. He is not someone that you are going to have much luck running straight at.
  48. Johnnie Brown-Middleton-DT-6’3-255 (Signed with UF): Brown is an undersized defensive tackle. He has the body to develop into a 290 pound player at the next level. He gives you some quickness off the football. His strength is stopping the run. The biggest issue is Brown weighs less than 260 pounds. He will need to take a RS at the next level.
  49. Jalen Harrell-Champagnat-DB-6’2-200: (Signed with UM): Physically there are not many other defensive backs that look like Harrell. He plays cornerback and is very effective doing so. We feel he could eventually grow into a safety or even a linebacker. His physical style of play is a big reason we see him closer to the line of scrimmage.
  50. Lawrance Toafili-Pinellas Park-RB-6’0-200 (Signed with FSU): Toafili is in the 2nd tier of running backs in Florida. He gives you a back with both speed and quickness. He also runs with very good balance. He is not a back that you can arm tackle. He runs with good vision.
  51. Ajou Ajou-Clearwater Academy-6’3-210: (Signed with Clemson): Here is a fast riser. Ajou comes from out of State and looks to have a great senior season. Ajou has the size and speed to really cause defenses problems. He is also physical enough to help out in the run game. We expect his down field blocking to open up some lanes for his running backs to run through.
  52. Ethan Pouncey-Winter Park-DB-6’2-190: (Signed with UF): Pouncey is a kid who has all the physical tools. He has size (6’2) and he is also long. He gives you the speed and quickness to handle playing on the back end. He is a prospect that if he develops in college could be playing on Sundays.
  53. Marcus Clarke-Winter Park-Ath.-5’11-175: (Signed with Miami): Clarke is a two way standout. He can play slot receiver or cornerback at the next level. He has both the speed and quickness to make an impact at the next level. He should start off on special teams and make an impact there. He is the type of athlete you want to see with the ball in his hands.
  54. Jayion McCluster-Largo-LB-6’2-180 – Signed with FSU): McCluster is another linebacker in this class who once play some running back. We like our linebackers to be athletic and McCluster fits the bill. He is also a very good athlete. Once he puts on some weight, Jayion will be a very productive player in college.
  55. Anthony Richardson-Eastside-QB-6’4-220: (Signed with UF): Richardson is a prospect that if he did not work out at quarterback he would make a great tight end or defensive end. He has great size and is athletic. At quarterback he will display a strong arm. He can make most of the throws asked of him. It is his consistency throwing the football that needs work.
  56. Jonathan Denis-South Dade-OG/C-6’3-280 (Signed with Oregon): Denis is a kid who brings toughness to your offensive line. He is going to come out and bring it on the football field. He is a good run blocking lineman. As a pass protector he can be efficient. He is going to end up playing inside as a guard or center in college.
  57. Gerald Mincey-Cardinal Gibbons-OT-6’6-320: (Signed with UF): Mincey is a prospect that has some toughness to his game. We saw this off-season at camps some of the other top defensive lineman try and get under his skin. Mincey showed grit and fought back. He is a solid pass blocker. We would like to see him become a more complete run blocker. He needs to learn to stay on his blocks and finish plays.
  58. Elijah Canion-Chaminade-WR-6’3-190: (Signed with Auburn): Canion is a big, smooth receiver. He makes the game look easy. He runs solid routes and knows how to get open. He also has pretty good hands. As he continues to develop physically, Elijah will get that much better.
  59. Jadarius McKnight-Fort Myers Dunbar-Ath.-6’0-180 (Signed with FSU): McKnight is one of those athletes you sign and worry about where to play him once in college. One thing he is not afraid to do is stick his head into your chest. He is very physical. McKnight can come up and play the run. He is also effective in pass coverage.
  60. Thomas Schrader-Venice-OT-6’4-270: (Signed with FSU): Shrader does have one trait you need to be a quality offensive lineman; feet. He has very good feet and moves well laterally. It is one of the big reasons we could see him play some tackle in college. He is also versatile enough to play center or guard as well.
  61. Jahquez Robinson-Sandalwood-DB-6’2-175 (Signed with Alabama): Robinson and Bermudez are part of one of the best secondary’s in Florida. Robinson is a prospect who is versatile enough to play safety or cornerback. He is effective against the run.
  62. Emmanuel Rogers-Jensen Beach-DT-6’5-300: (Signed with FSU): Rogers is a big, athletic defensive lineman. When you find lineman that are as big and athletic as Rogers is you recruit them. While he is a very good defensive tackle prospect it would not surprise us to see him end up on the offensive line in college.
  63. Sage Ennis-Tallahassee Lincoln-TE-6’4-220: (Signed with Clemson): Ennis went from a relatively unknown prospect to getting some nice offers this spring. Once Clemson pulled the trigger Ennis joined the National Champions. He has good hands and runs solid routes. He is going to have to get bigger to handle defensive ends that Ennis will be asked to block in college.
  64. Marc Britt-Miami Christian-WR-6’2-190: (Committed to UF) Britt is a big, physical receiver. He has enough speed and quickness for opposing defenses to have to respect him. If you line up a smaller defensive back on him, it will end up a long day for the opposition.
  65. Derek Bermudez-Sandalwood-DB-6’2-180: (Signed with Ole Miss): Bermudez is another big, long, athletic defensive back in Florida this year. He is not going to run a 4.4 but Derek is more then fast enough to play in the secondary.
  66. Henry Gray-Miami Central-DB-6’1-175: (Signed with Nebraska): Early in his high school career, Gray looked like a prospect who rank at the top of the board. He has the tools that you want in a defensive back. He just is not very consistent. He will make some plays where you are very impressed. He needs to play with that consistency to become an elite player in college.
  67. Johnny Newton-Clearwater Central Catholic-DE-6’3-240: (Signed with Illinois) Newton is a player we have seen play running back, linebacker and defensive line. He is a very good athlete. He also has the body to add on the weigh to get to 290 pounds. If he can add the weight and keep his athletic ability, watch out.
  68. Jahvante Royal-Saint Thomas-CB-6’2-190: (Signed with Pittsburgh): Royal is a former receiver. This helps him on defense as Royal understands routes and what the receiver is trying to do. He is a raw prospect but once developed we feel Royal can become an All-Conference type player.
  69. Josh Griffis-IMG Academy-DE-6’3-250: (Signed with FSU): Griffis is a kid who may not be the most athletically gifted player but he brings it hard on every down. He is very tough and will go down fighting. He can play the run but Josh also can get pressure on the quarterback. He is the type of player who comes in and is a productive in college.
  70. Jonathan Odom-Tampa Jesuit-TE-6’6-240: (Signed with UF): Odom is a big, physical tight end. We question whether or not he ends up growing into a left tackle. He has the body and frame to add more weight. He is a solid run blocking tight end. He has decent hands. He lacks great top end speed.
  71. Trevon Riggins-Lakewood-DE-6’3-270-(Signed with Illinois): Riggins comes from a program that produces NFL players. Lakewood has had some great football prospects come through their program. Riggins is next in line. He is another versatile athlete who can play either end or tackle in college. He can rush the passer but his strength is stopping the run.
  72. Marvin Scott-RB-Spruce Creek-5’9-200: (Signed with Nebraska): Scott is the type of prospect we look back on in 2-3 years and wonder why he did not get more interest coming out of high school. He can run with speed and quickness. He can also run with power. Scott is also effective in the passing game. He is one of the more complete backs in the state of Florida this year.
  73. Stephen Dix-Dr. Phillips-LB-6’2-200 (Signed with FSU): Dix is one of the more underrated players in the state of Florida this year. Here is another very athletic linebacker. He has the ability to play the run. He is also very effective at playing the flats and covering backs or receivers. He can also drop into coverage and cover a tight end.
  74. Bradley Ashmore-Fletcher-OT-6’6-280 (Signed with Vanderbilt): Ashmore is a big lineman. He displays good feet. He comes off the ball relatively well. He is not super quick and guys who can speed rush could get around him. He is the type of player who can develop into an All-Conference type player down the road.
  75. Lloyd Willis-Miami Killian-OT-6’7-305: (Signed with FSU): Willis is a prospect that could eventually end up in the NFL. He is a former basketball player who decided to give football a shot. He can move laterally very well. He is also very coachable. He wants to get better and we expect that Willis will.
  76. Xavier Restrepo-Saint Thomas-Ath-5’10-190: (Signed with Miami): Restrepo is playing defensive back this year. We like him as a slot receiver. He is a tough kid that is going to give you everything he has on the football field. He is the type of player who makes plays. Whether on offense or defense you will see this kid get it done.
  77. Zane Herring-Madison County-OT-6’5-290 (Signed with FSU): Herring has done a very good job of reshaping his body. After getting into great shape this off-season Herring has played well early in 2019. He is a tough, hardnosed kid who comes from a football town. He should end up a very good starter down the road.
  78. Tucker Gleason-Tampa Plant-QB-6’2-200 (Signed with Georgia Tech): Tampa Plant has produced some very good quarterbacks over the years. Gleason is next in line. He has a good arm and can make pretty much any throw asked of him. He is also athletic enough to beat you with his legs.
  79. Keshawn Washington-South Dade-DB-6’2-200 (Signed with Miami): Washington is another big safety in the state of Florida. We could easily see him grow into a linebacker. He has the frame to add the needed weight. If he stays at safety, Washington will be more of an in the box type player. He is a physical kid who you would use in run support. He can drop into coverage but his strength is playing the run.
  80. Miles Brooks-Trinity Christian-6’2-180 –CB (Signed with Georgia Tech): Brooks gives you some size at cornerback. We project him more as boundary corner at the next level. He does a good job of sticking with a receiver and locating the football. He knocks plenty of passes down because of his length. He has solid speed and can hang with most receivers.
  81. Ruben Hyppolite-McArthur-MLB-6’0-220: (Signed with Maryland): Hyppolite is a very active linebacker on the defensive side of the football. You will always see him moving towards the football. He has good instincts and once he greets the ball carrier it is with bad intentions. He is also can drop back into coverage and make plays in the passing game.
  82. Aydin Henningham-Deerfield Beach-WR-6’1-200: (Signed with Pitt); Aydin is a prospect we first saw a freshman at the Nike Camp. He put on a show and dominated guys who were seniors. He has good speed and is not one you will want to go one on one against. While a very good receiver it would not shock us to see him play defense in college.
  83. Kobe Baynes-Sandalwood-OT-6’4-300: (Signed with Louisville): Baynes is another prospect that plays tackle but will move inside to guard in college. He has a bit of a mean streak in him. You will see Baynes drive his guy off the ball. He is just starting to learn how to finish plays.
  84. Deajuan Morgan-Deerfield Beach-WR-6’0-180: (Signed with Maryland): Morgan is not the biggest or fastest receiver. He may be Deerfield Beach most consistent threat on offense. He runs solid routes and has good hands. He can play as a slot receiver or line up out wide.
  85. Johnny Walker-Chamberlain-DE-6’3-200: (Signed with Missouri): Walker is another undersized defensive end/outside linebacker. You will need to rely on his speed and quickness to make plays off the edge. He is a player that is going to have to beef up and possibly play with his hand in the ground in college. Can he handle teams that run straight at him? That is a question Walker will need to answer.
  86. Khaya Wright-South Miami-DE/OLB-6’3-215: (Signed with Georgia Tech): Wright is a prospect that you go and watch and he plays hard on every play. He needs to be accounted for. He has the ability to get up the field and put pressure on the quarterback. He is also very good at dropping into coverage and playing the pass. He needs to get bigger and stronger so Wright can handle the run.
  87. Justin Hodges-Western-6’2-180: (Signed with UCF): Hodges has the tools you want in a cornerback prospect. He has size (6’2) and length. We would like to see him become more consistent. Once he learns how to come hard on every play we could see an All-Conference type player in Hodges.
  88. Connor McLaughlin-Tampa Jesuit-OT–6’6-250: (Signed with Stanford): Connor is a prospect that you recruit, redshirt and develop him into a starter 2-3 years down the road. He is a smart kid that understands the game of football. He is effective as a pass rusher. He needs to get bigger and stronger to be a good run blocker at the next level. We expect him to develop into an All-Conference type tackle in college.
  89. Clyde Pinder-Armwood-DT-6’1-300: (Signed with North Carolina):  Pinder gets overlooked as this is one of the more talented years for defensive tackles in Florida. Pinder is a fire plug in the middle of Armwood defense. Pinder is quick enough off the ball to be disruptive against the run. He needs to get better using his hands. He does that we feel that Pinder can end up a much better player in college then he was in high school. His strength is stopping the run.
  90. Diego Lominca-Gulliver Prep-TE-6’4-225: (Signed with Vanderbilt): Very underrated. Diego is a prospect that many question why none of the top programs in Florida did not take him. He is a raw prospect but you can see the upside when you watch him in person. He has good hands and can run. We expect him to be one of the top sleeper prospects to come out of this class.
  91. Jordan Butler-IMG Academy-DT-6’3-300: (Signed with Vanderbilt): If Vanderbilt continues to recruiter players like Butler their success on the field will rise. Butler looks the part. He is a big, long, athletic lineman. He is also very physical.
  92. Henry Bryant-Atlantic-DT-5’11-275: (Signed with Louisville): If Bryant is 6’2 instead of 5’11, you may be looking at a top ten prospect in the state of Florida. He is super quick off the ball and knows how to use his hands well. He is very violent with his hands. For his size there may not be a tougher pound for pound player in the state of Florida this year.
  93. Chris Jones-Coconut Creek-DE-6’4-200: (Signed with FAU): Jones has the potential to be a very good defensive end in college. Physically, he will need to develop. He has the frame to add another 40-50 pounds. Once in a college weight program, the sky is the limit for Jones. He has the size and length you want in a defensive end prospect.
  94. Jamari Stewart-Centennial-OLB-6’4-215: (Committed to Mississippi State): Stewart is the type of player you put on the edge and let him rush the quarterback. He is a difference maker off the edge. He can get pressure on the quarterback. The question is will Stewart get big enough to play close to the line of scrimmage in college. He is thin built so we are not sure if he can add the necessary weight to put his hand in the ground.
  95. Timothy Brown-Palm Beach Gardens-DT-6’4-270: (Signed with Pittsburgh): Brown is another versatile lineman. He can play defensive end in a 3-4 or move inside and play DT in a 4-3. He can give you a pass rush up the middle. He also is effective stopping the run.
  96. Tyler Berrong-Atlantic-LB-6’2-220: (Signed with Kent State): Berrong plays football like an old school linebacker. He plays fast and downhill. He is not afraid to come up and smack you in the mouth. We like his ability to play in space. He is also very good against the run. When healthy you are looking at one of the best linebackers in this year’s class.
  97. Alvin Mathis-Largo-LB-6’1-200: (Signed with FIU) Mathis and McCluster are on the same team now and they may have one of the top line backing corps in Florida. Mathis is a hardnosed kid who plays to the whistle. He is efficient against the run. He is a good enough athlete to also be effective in the passing game.
  98. Corbin Gibson-Sebastian River-WR-6’4-200: (Did not sign) Gibson plays on both sides of the football. He has good size and once Gibson gets going runs well. He is a bit of a long strider so it takes him a couple steps to get to top end gear. On defense, Gibson has good ball skills.
  99. DJ Taylor-Tampa Catholic-Ath.-(Signed with Arizona State): Taylor is a kid who can play running back, receiver or defensive back. He is a very gifted athlete whose upside is in front of him. He gives you a prospect with some decent size and speed.
  100. Kaleb Long-Chamberlain-6’5-210: (Signed with FAU): Jones may be the biggest receiver in Florida this year. He has great size and Kaleb uses it to his advantage. He does a good job of going up and high pointing the football. You would like for him to have some more top end speed. He is a prospect that we would not be surprised if he had a better career then some of those ranked ahead of him. Fenley
  101. Graham-Lakeland-Ath-5’10-180: (Signed with UF): Graham reminds us of Ahmad Black who also played at Lakeland before heading off to UF. He is not the biggest prospect on the board. What he brings is a player who loves the game. He is a good enough athlete to play slot receiver or cornerback in college. He should make an impact early on playing special teams.
  102. Miller Merriweather-Lewis-Vanguard-OL-6’4-320: (Did not sign): As a freshman we felt that Merriweather would be one of the premier lineman in Florida. He has played tackle but we feel his game is better suited on the inside. He needs to play with better balance and leverage. He has a tendency to lean over and try and block his guy. His strength is run blocking.
  103. Dominick Hill-Orlando Jones-CB-6’2-175: (Signed with South Carolina): Hill gives you a receiver with some size. He is going to cause problems for smaller cornerbacks. Here is a kid that runs good routes and will come down with the football. He has good body control and will adjust to poorly thrown balls. You put the ball up and Hill is the type of receiver who will come down with it.
  104. Dontavius Fields-Tate High School-6’4-275: (Did not sign): Fields has flown under the radar. He comes from a part of Florida that can get overlooked. Fields is a guy who can play in the middle of the defensive line and help stop the run. There are so few quality defensive tackles so his stock is on the rise.
  105. Courtney Thornton-Booker T. Washington-6’1-185: (Signed with UCF): The reason why UCF has won so many games the past two seasons is they continue to find players like Thornton. He has the size and length you want in the secondary. He also has very good ball skills. He had a big interception in Booker T. kickoff classic against Apopka to seal the game.
  106. Jose Mirabel-South Dade-OT-6’5-320: (Signed with FIU): Mirabel is a big guy. He is a prospect that you can play right tackle or move him inside to guard. His size and length make it difficult for you to get around. You would like for him to have quicker feet so he could play left tackle. He is an effective run blocker. In pass protection his size in high school makes it difficult for defensive ends to get around him.
  107. Gregory Spann-Lakewood-QB-6’4-185: (Signed with Illinois): With the right coaching and patience, Spann could end up a heck of a football player in college. He has the physical attributes you look for in a quarterback. His skill set is that of a prospect who can play beyond Saturdays. The biggest issues is Spann is a raw prospect that someone will need to red-shirt and develop him.
  108. Jecoryan Davis Hamilton-Apopka-Ath-6’1-185: (Signed with FIU): Davis is a very good athlete. You can tell that when you watch Apopka in person as he plays quarterback for them. The question with Davis is where he plays in college. We see him more as a defensive back.
  109. Patrick Barnett-Key West-6’5-300: (Signed with UCF); If Barnett did not play in Key West, he would have blown up this spring. He is a big, athletic lineman. He is also a kid who is willing to learn. He is very coachable. He has the athletic ability to play either tackle spot in college. He can also play guard if needed.
  110. Latarie Kinsler-Pahokee-DE-6’4-200: (Signed with Syracuse):  Kinsler is another one of these hybrid DE/OLB types. He is a guy you are going to put on the edge of your defense and ask him to rush the quarterback. He can play in space. He does need to add weight to handle playing against the run.
  111. Douglas Emilien-American Heritage Pl.-WR-6’1-185 (Signed with Minnesota): Emilien is a kid that really stood out this fall. He has good size and speed. He can play on the outside or move inside to slot at the next level. We would not be surprised to see him end up one of the better receivers in this year’s class.
  112. Michael Rankins-Lennard-OL-6’5-290: (Signed with Georgia Tech): When healthy, Rankins is one of the better lineman in Florida. He is getting close to 100 percent and we expect him to have a big senior season. He has the size and athletic ability to play at a high level.
  113. Chayil Garnett-Lakeland-QB-6’1-200: (Signed with Auburn): Chayil is a good athlete who has the physical tools to play quarterback in college. He needs to work on his mechanics. He also needs to work on his feet. He is a player who has some upside but will need a red-shirt in college.
  114. Jaqwoudis Burns-IMG Academy-MLB-6’1-230 (Signed with Minnesota): Burns is your typical MIKE backer. He is a thumper. You line him up on the inside and he will help stop the run. He is very physical at the point of attack. He is a guy on passing downs that you will wonder if he can handle covering a tight end or receiver in space.
  115. Theodore Richardson-Booker T-WR-6’0-180 (Signed with FIU) Every time we see him in person Richardson is making a big play. He is a very good receiver. He runs very good routes and knows how to get open. He does a very good job of high pointing the football while it is in the air and coming down with it.
  116. Jake Ray-Saint Thomas-TE/H-Back-6’4-235: (Signed with Arizona State): Ray gives you a combination of an h-back and a tight end. He is a guy that is going to be a solid blocker but not someone you want taking on bigger defensive ends. He can run the seam and is solid on crossing routes.
  117. Johnquai Lewis-Champagnat-WR-6’0-170: (Signed with Kansas): Lewis is a play maker with the football in his hands. He is the Lions top threat on offense. He gets off the football and runs by defenders without much of a problem. He is a guy who stretch the field and score. His speed and quickness will allow him to get on the field quickly as Lewis is going to end up a star on special teams in college.
  118. Xavier McGriff-Baldwin-WR-6’2-190: (Signed with FIU): McGriff is one of the best prospects that FIU has ever gotten a commitment from. He has the skill set to be a P5 type receiver. Look for him to make an immediate impact at the next level. He runs good routes and can go up and get the football
  119. Akheem Mesidor: Clearwater Academy-DE-6’3-250: (Signed with West Virginia): Akheem comes from Canada. He is a prospect that has the physical attributes but is raw. He still needs to develop and become a more complete player. He has the ability to get up the field and put pressure on the quarterback. He also is stout against the run.
  120. Evan Webser-Hardee-OT-6’4-300: (Signed with FAMU): Turn on Webster film and you will come away impressed. He comes off the ball and looks for someone to hit. He is very physical and will drive his guy backwards. He is very good as a run blocker. He needs to improve as a pass blocker but that should come at the next level.
  121. Brian Balom-Miramar-DB-6’0-180: (Signed with MIAMI): One of the fastest risers this off-season is Balom. He has good size and speed. He is very aggressive on the football field. He can be effective coming up and playing the run. He also has good cover skills. We could see him end up at cornerback or safety in college.
  122. Cayden Baker-Ft Myers-OT-6’6-270-(Signed with UNC): Baker has played some tight end. He also has lined up on the defensive line. With his size and athletic ability we expect him to grow into an offensive tackle. If he commits the time to put in to develop at offensive tackle, Baker could be an NFL prospect one day. He is a big, long, athletic lineman.
  123. Christopher Townsel-Deerfield Beach-5’11-175: (Signed with USF):  When healthy this kid makes plays. He has good coverage skills. He also has the length to be disruptive in the passing lanes. He just needs to stay on the field. You watch him turn and run and there are not many defensive backs this year who are as fluid as him.
  124. Westley Neal-Gulliver Prep-DT-6’0-330: (Signed with Rhode Island): Neal is one of three very gifted defensive tackles in Florida that just happen to be under 6’0 tall. He is quick off the ball and gets into the backfield before an offensive guard/center can get a hand on him. He has the ability to be a very good run stuffer. He also is effective getting some pressure up the middle. The question with Neal is will bigger more athletic offensive lineman be able to negate him at the next level?
  125. Jesus Machado-Champagnat-LB-6’1-205: (Signed with Tulane): Machado is a kid who you put on the edge and ask him to rush the quarterback. He is very effective as a blitzing linebacker. He can get up the field and get a ton of sacks. The question with Jesus is will he be big enough to take on offensive tackles and stop the run? If he can then MaChado should have a very productive college career.
  126. Devon Betty-Saint Thomas-OLB-6’0-190: (Signed with NC State): Betty is an undersized linebacker. He looks like a safety on the football field. He can do one thing very well and that is run. He also has good instincts and has for being around the football.
  127. Garrett Greene-Chiles High School-QB-6’0-185: (Signed with West Virginia): Greene is the perfect air-raid type quarterback. He has a quick, compact release. He knows how to get rid of the ball quickly. He is very effective on the short to intermediate routes.
  128. Marquez Bell-Lake City Columbia-WR-6’0-160: (Signed with Cincinnati): Bell is a prospect that you turn on the film and you will like what is on the TV screen. He is the type of player you line up at running back, slot receiver, run on jet sweeps. He has the type of speed and quickness to flip the field. He is very dangerous in the open field.
  129. Jack Del Rio Jr-Clearwater Central Catholic-ILB-6’2-215: (Signed with Rutgers): Del Rio went to some off-season camps and shined. He displayed not only good size but his athletic ability was impressive. This is a kid that once in a college weight program will end up a 240 pound MIKE BACKER. He is only going to get better in the next few years.
  130. Antonio Smith-Vanguard-C-6’2-290 (Signed with Southern U): Miami got on the Smith early and he pulled the trigger. You turn on the film and you have to like the kid’s ability to come off the ball. He is an athletic guard/center who can be used on pull plays. He is athletic enough to get to the edge and block a linebacker or defensive back. He is one of the better center prospects in the state of Florida.
  131. Majon Wright-Cardinal Gibbons-WR-6’3-190: (Signed with Arizona): Majon is a prospect that has all the physical tools you want in a receiver. He just needs to become more consistent to become an every down player. He is someone we thought could also end up playing on defense in college.
  132. Katravis Marsh-Miami Central-QB-6’5-185: (Signed with USF): Marsh is a raw quarterback prospect that has the skill set to shine in college. He has a good arm and can make pretty much every throw. He is going to have to learn that you don’t have to make a big play on every play. Take the check down. He needs to learn to get rid of the football quicker and keep his offense out of long yardage situations.
  133. Jordan Davis-Seminole-TE-6’4-225-(Signed with UCF): Davis is another under the radar prospect that UCF recruited and landed. He is the type of tight end you want to use in a spread offense. You can line him up wide and get him match up against a linebacker. You can line him up as an h-back. His versatility allows him to line up anywhere on the field.
  134. Lovie Jenkins-Ocoee-DB-5’11-180-(Signed with Louisville): Jenkins has above average size. We would like for him to be a little more fluid. He can play press coverage and be effective. When you go to zone and he has to cover an area of the field, Jenkins could have some issues.
  135. Jalen Williams-Apopka-TE-6’6-210-(Has not signed) Williams could turn into an NFL prospect. He runs like a receiver but has tight end size. If he develops as expected look for him to hear his name called during the NFL Draft.
  136. Bobby Washington-Saint Thomas-DT-5’11-300: (Signed with FIU): Washington is another very talented defensive tackle in this year’s class. He is under 6’0 so that has hurt him. He is quick off the ball and makes plays behind the line of scrimmage. You watch him in person and Washington is the most active player on Saint Thomas defense.
  137. Cooper Davis-Viera-DE-6’7-250: (Signed with Illinois): Davis is a big, long, athletic defensive end. He has the body to add another 20 pounds and play at defensive end or even be used as a 5-tech. He has the size and length you want for a defensive lineman. Give him time to develop and Davis could end up an NFL prospect.
  138. Avarius Sparrow-Orlando Jones HS-RB-5’9-190 (Signed with WVU): Turn on the State Title Game and Sparrow stands out. He runs hard for someone his size. He can run between the tackles or bounce it to the outside.
  139. Jerrold Pough-McArthur-DB-6’0-170: (Did not sign): Pough is not the biggest of fastest defensive back. He is one of the tougher guys you will see. He can come up and be a physical presence against the run. He is an in the box safety who will be asked to play close to the line of scrimmage in college.
  140. Michael Pratt-Deerfield Beach-QB-6’3-200: (Signed with Tulane): Pratt will probably miss his senior season. He transferred over to Deerfield Beach and got hurt. He is behind a talented D1 commitment and unless he gets hurt the odds are Pratt will only see time when the games are out of hand. He has a good arm and is accurate. He also has the ability to beat a team with his legs.
  141. Ralph Mency-Robert E. Lee-Ath.-6’3-230: (Signed with Middle Tenn. State): Mency is a prospect that is listed as a tight end but we could see him end up on the defensive line. He is a good athlete who has the type of ability to be disruptive on the defensive side of the football. He is a kid we could easily see getting to 260-270 pounds and leading his team in sacks.
  142. Jeremiah Mawali-Chaminade-OT-6’5-290: (Did not sign): Mawali is very raw but talented. He has the size, length and athletic ability to become a starter at the next level. He needs to get bigger and stronger but we expect that once in college. He is a better pass blocker at this time. He needs to learn how to come off the ball and drive his guy backwards.
  143. Quitman Kincaid-West Port-DB-6’1-220: (Did not sign) Kincaid plays safety but we project him as a linebacker in college. He has a thick lower body. He can add another 20 pounds and not lose any speed or quickness. With his ball skills we feel Kincaid could end up a complete player at linebacker.
  144. Evan Anderson-Orlando Jones-DT/OG-6’3-325-(Signed with FAU): Anderson pretty much had his way with Miami Northwestern offensive line. He got up the field and constantly pressured Northwestern offense. He is a kid that if his weight is under control could end up one of the better defensive lineman in this class.
  145. Tehrenzo Turner-Pensacola Pine Forest-5’11-165: (Did not sign): Turner is a prospect who has flown under the radar. He performed very well at the Nike Camp and that is how he ended up on the recruiting radar. He is quick and can get into the open field. He has the ability to really stretch the field.
  146. Angelu Nunu-Lake City-DT-6’2-285: (Did not sign): When it comes to pure strength there may not be a stronger football player in the state of Florida. He is very strong and good luck trying to move him off the football. He is the type of kid that will come into your program and work hard. He may not be the most athletic lineman but someone will sigh Nunu and we feel that his career will end up productive.
  147. James Davis-Glades Central: WR-5’11-180: (Did not sign) Davis is a kid who has top end speed. He can really help you push the ball down the field. He has good hands and runs solid routes. He just needs to get bigger physically to handle the defensive backs Davis will see in college.
  148. Javonte Kinsey-Sandalwood-WR-6’4-200: (Signed with Bowling Green): Kinsey is a prospect that could grow into a tight end. He has good size (close to 6’5) and a frame to add some weight. He could end up 230-240 pounds. If he plays tight end, Kinsey will be a miss-match at the next level if you split him out wide.
  149. Ja’Vontae Williams-Glades Central: 6’0-200: (Signed with Syracuse): Williams put on a show this spring. He showed the ability to go across the middle of the field and snatch the football. He also showed the ability to stretch the field and go deep. He is a physical receiver that can will be effective on third down and inside the red-zone.
  150. Frank Gore Jr-Miami Killian-5’7-160: (Signed with Southern Miss): Gore is not real big but the kid is explosive. He is the one player on Killian football team that can flip the field with one carry. He is the type of player you can use in the slot, have him run the jet sweep or line him up in the backfield. He is very explosive and if given an opening will be off to the races.
