This weekend we will see Class 1A-4A name their state final teams. Port St Joe could be one of the few state defending champions that actually make it back to Orlando this year. They are very talented and led by Trey Sanders who is averaging over 9.0 yards per carry. The talented freshman will see plenty of offers come his way the next two years. Aaron Paul will also be one to watch. Madison County will look to take over class 1A and regain their status as state champion. They play Trenton who recently won a state title and is led by Hamp Cheevers.

Class 1A you have defending state champion Port St Joe going against Baker High School. in the bottom bracket you have two teams who have won titles in the past decade Trenton vs. Madison County. Cheevers comes into the match up against Madison County rushing for over 800 yards (11.9 Avg.) and 17 touchdowns.

Class 2A will have two more teams who have played in state finals recently University (Jacksonville) vs. Victory Christian. Both teams a very good this year and in the bottom bracket there will be a newcomer heading to Orlando when Cambridge faces off against First Baptist (Naples). First Academy comes into their game against Cambridge with an unbeaten record. They defeated Dade Christian High School 35-7. Tyler Dean leads First Baptist with over 1100 passing yards (14-touchdowns) and added another 645 yards on the ground. He has totaled 24 touchdowns on the season.

Class 3A will place a familiar face with Trinity Christian (Jacksonville) vs. Tampa Catholic. The last few seasons Trinity Christian has been loaded with D1 talent. In 2015 they are led by DJ Matthews who is one of the premier receivers in the nation. They have some other great players on their teams as well. They go against Tampa Catholic who has Nate Craig Meyers. This should be a battle that many will want to watch. The winner of that game should be tested and ready to win a title the following week in Orlando.

Class 4A pits Cocoa High School against Booker T. Washington. The Tornadoes have been a major road block for Cocoa High School. This season Booker T. brings is a very talented but young team into this match-up. Cocoa will have the experience on both sides as they are led by quarterback/athlete Bruce Judson. Coach Wilkerson has one of his most talented teams heading into this semi-final match up. Booker T. led by Head Coach Earl Tillman is once again just one game away from the state finals.

In part 2 we will take a look at class 5A -8A. Hallandale High School pulled off the upset last weekend by beating American Heritage Plantation. This week they travel to Orlando and will face Bishop Moore. West Orange High School in Class 8A finally beat Apopka High School. There will be some other match-ups we go over as well.
