College football had Week 0 games this week. FSU vs. New Mexico State, UNC vs. TCU, NC State vs. Virginia, UNLV vs. Memphis University, USC vs. San Jose State and it finished off with Stanford pulling out a win vs. Hawaii. Who from Florida shined?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Floyd Bouchard – (Miami Central) DT – (USC) Boucard was part of an impressive early game performance against San Jose State. He finished with 3 total tackles and helped stuff San Jose State run game down. He will need to continue to step up his game as USC will start to see much better teams in the coming weeks. He has a chance to become one of the better DT’s in his conference. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

King Mack (Saint Thomas Aquinas) DB -(NC State) King Mack was highly regarded out of high school. The STA alum did a very good job by making 7 tackles and being second on the defense in stops. He is going to be relied on a lot this season for and NC State defense that needs someone to step up. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Morvean Joseph (Lakeland High School) LB (Jacksonville State) Morvean Joseph was one of the top leading tacklers for Jacksonville State. They played North Dakota State which made their debut into D1 football. Joseph will probably be at the top of the leaderboard each week and be a tackling machine for his football team. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Benson Prosper – (Champagnat Catholic) WR- (Eastern Michigan) 7 Receptions for 81 yards. Prosper had a great game against Sac State. Look for him to continue to be the focal point of the Eastern Michigan passing game. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Santonyo Issac -(Tampa Bay Tech) WR-(Eastern Michigan) 1 Reception for 40 yards and TD. Issac only had one reception but he made it count. It went forty yards for a TD. His 40 yard average per catch may lead college football after one week. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Boogsie Silvera – (American Heritage Plantation) (SAC State) DB- 13 Tackles for Sac State this past weekend. He is a tackling machince. The Pembroke Pines star is going to be very busy this season if he has to make 13 stops each week. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amari Wallace – (Miami Central) DB (Miami Central) Wallace had 7 tackles and 1.5 Tackles for loss this weekend. Another former South Florida star who shined this weekend. We expect him to put up this types of performances every week. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sedrick Irvin (Westminster Christian) RB (Stanford) Irvin had 8 carries for 43 years. He should put up pretty decent numbers for the Cardinal. While he is not the number one option (Micah Ford) is but Irvin will be a solid #2 running back for Stanford.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trey Hedden (Tampa Catholic) QB (New Mexico State) 26 -42 for 272 yards – 2 Touchdowns and 1 interception. He played very well against FSU. If Hedden can continue to improve, New Mexico State should be able to pass the ball pretty well this season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Samuel Singleton – (Fleming Island) RB (FSU) 9 Carries for 42 yards and a touchdown. He also had 4 receptions for 54 yards and a TD. He was very impressive and one of the few bright spots for the Seminoles in a rather uneventful perfoamce last night. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marcus Stokes – (Nease HS) QB (Memphis) 15-26 for 223 yards – 2 Touchdowns and no interception. He has taken the long road to get to the D1 level. It finally paid off as Memphis has found their new star at quarterback. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jaylon Glover -(Lake Gibson HS) RB (UNLV) 5 Rushes for 49 yards. Glover signed with Utah out of HS and decided to stay well and play for UNLV this year. It looks like he is well on his way to a solid season for the Rebels. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Manny Covey – (Bradford HS)RB (Memphis) 11 rushes for 46 yards. Covey is ready to take over and become Memphis next great back. He was productive in high school and we expect the same in college. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
