One of top OL Prospects in Florida for 2012

One of the top programs in the state of Florida each year is Jacksonville Bolles. Coach Rogers has done it by keeping it simple. The Bulldogs have run the football and won by overpowering the opposition up front. Once again their offensive line will be one of the best in Florida for 2010. Led by John Theus, the Bulldogs will be very good on the offensive line. Theus has been on the radar for Bolles since his sophomore season. ESS will break down one of the top players for 2012.

Williams chooses University of Buffalo!

Last year at the annual D1-camp we met a new name on the scene; Pat Williams. He had transferred  to play in Davie, Florida. Pat  was playing linebacker and we told the talented prospect that his future would be at defensive tackle. Less then a year later Williams has committed to play defensive tackle at the University of Buffalo. Williams has since grown into 265 pound linemen. ESS will break down Williams and what University of Buffalo fans can expect.

Last year Saint Thomas Aquinas had the top defensive backfield in Florida. They had Lamarcus Joyner (FSU), Keion Payne (Miami) and Cody Riggs (UF). This year the Raiders will once again have a very good defensive backfield but not to that level. We have some new teams to add to the mix in 2010 for best defensive backfields in the sun-shine state.

We looked at the top backfields in Florida. Today we will look at who has the best set of receivers in Florida. Every year you can count on some of the same teams for the nations best receivers. One team that is no stranger to having the top receivers come through their program is Glades Central. Santonio Holmes, Reidal Anthony, Travis Benjamin and Deonte Thompson were some of the top receivers to come through Glades Central as was head coach Jessie Hester. We will look at each set of receivers and give you are reason why they made the cut.

Since the start of July we have seen 7 prospects commit. As the summer starts to heat up so should the number of players who commit. Marquis Lucas was the first to commit as ESS broke the news first. Saturday July 10th quarterback coach Craig Johnson of the NFL Tennessee Titans will be in Fort Lauderdale for a quarterback and receiver camp held by South Florida based Mastrole Passing Academy.  The camp is designed for youth through high school quarterback and receivers and will stress proper fundamentals, technique, footwork, core strength, and film study.  The camp will be held from 9 a.m – 2 p.m. at Cardinal Gibbons High School in Fort Lauderdale, Fl.  Athletes will receive lunch and an official camp shirt.  To register and spend the day with NFL quarterback coach Craig Johnson and the Mastrole Passing Academy visit www.PassingCamp.com or for more information email coach@mastrolepassing.com

Under coach Houston Nutt, University of Mississippi football wanted to sign some of the top prospects from Florida. He has accomplished that with the recent commits of Serderius Bryant (Seminole High), Andrew Johnson (Southridge) and Gerrod Holliman (Southridge). For the past week ESS has done positional breakdowns of the top prospects in Florida. This week we will cover the top units in the state of Florida. For the past two years Saint Thomas Aquinas had the top offensive backfield in Florida. They still have their quarterback Jake Ruddick but lose both James White and Gio Bernard. While the replacements for Bernard and White will keep Saint Thomas in the top five for best offensive backfields there will be a drop off this season. ESS looks at each unit and tells you what to look for in 2010.

Year in and year out Dade, Broward or Palm Beach counties will have the top talent. Two years ago Leon County in Tallahassee with Nigel Bradham, Willie Downs, Jawanza Starling and CJ Mizell made it the strongest area in the state. This year Hillsborough and Pinellas counties have the best talent they ever have. Led by ESS #1 Ranked player in Florida (James Wilder), these two counties are loaded with top prospects in 2011. ESS will breakdown both counties not only for this year but also the class of 2012.
