Buie chooses Scarlet Knights!
Another week of commitments from some of the premier prospects in the state of Florida. This week we saw some top names come off the board like JaJuan Story and Chevelle Buie. These two were two of the top prospects in the sun-shine state. Buie helped lead Cocoa High School to back-to-back championships. Story came out of nowhere this spring and became one of the elite receivers in Florida. It was another busy week and ESS will break down each prospect.
Devonta Freeman-Miami Central-5′9/190-(Florida State)-Freeman was not well known heading into his senior season. He sat behind Brandon Gainer who ended up at University of Kentucky. While Gainer was a very good back for Central it was Freeman who caught our eye last year. He is not real big but Freeman makes up for it with a nice blend of speed and quickness. When you watch his film, Freeman never goes down on first contact. By the end of his senior year, Freeman should end up one of the best backs in Florida.

Denzel Wimberly-Cent. Mich Commit!
Denzel Wemberly-Cardinal Gibbons-5′10/200-(Central Michigan) Like with Freeman, Wimberly sat behind a very talented back a year ago. The few times he did touch the football Wimberly was a very solid back. He is a bigger back then Daryeon Chance but not as explosive. Look for Wimberly to have a very productive senior season.

Nick Menocal chooses the U!
Nick Menocal-Belen Jesuit-6′3/225-(Miami)-Coach Stuart has improved his talent level each season. Last year he sent Pablo Alavarez to University of Virginia. This year he has Menocal going to Miami. Here is a physically talented prospect which has yet to reach his potential. Where does Menocal play? (LB or DE). We like his upside and obviously so does Miami.

Cedric Thompson goes to UCF!
Cedric Thompson-Everglades-5′11/210-(UCF)-Big back, solid speed and very productive in high school. Sounds like another back that went to UCF from South Florida (Kevin Smith). Thompson has very good feet and can get to the outside. He also is a sound receiver out of the backfield. He may end up another steal for the Golden Knights.
Deon Green-Olympia-6′3/270-(South Carolina)-Green was one of our favorite players on film. He is a big guy that can run. He also does not show any quit on film. He is an athletic big guy who will most likely end up inside. Green is one of the lesser known prospects which could make a major impact in college.Kevin Sousa ends up a Wolverine!

Kevin Sousa ends up a Wolverine!
Kevin Sousa-Lake Nona-6′4/230-(Michigan)-Sousa was a prospect we liked. He is a very good athlete and the physical tools are there for Sousa to be a good quarterback. If he does not work out at quarterback, Sousa could end up a tight end.
Chevelle Buie-Cocoa-5′8/165-(Rutgers)-The last time Rutgers got a player this explosive out of Florida was Tim Brown. All you need to know about Buie is he outran Glades Central to the end-zone 2x. He is a very talented player who could also line up as a receiver. Buie is one of the few players who can change the momentum of a game on one play.
Others who committed: Justin Duvernois-Saint Thomas(Illinois) and Zack Bullock-Sebring
