Undray Clark off to University of Maryland!

Undray Clark off to University of Maryland!

When Head Coach Matt Dixon took over Varela, he had to convince many players who had not won before to change that way of thinking. Two years later his team has and it has started to show on the recruiting trail as well as the scoreboard. Varela not known as a hotbed for high school recruiting has now had back to back seasons with a player signing with a BCS school. Last year wide receiver Brain Maura signed with University of Kansas. This year Undray Clark will take his services to University of Maryland. The Terrapins have made an effort to recruit Florida since Don Brown former Head Coach of UMASS took over in the sun-shine state. It has paid off as they landed two players last season and already another one for the class of 2011. ESS will breakdown the talented defensive back from Varela and tells you what we think of Clark.

Iowa Commit Jake Rudock!

Iowa Commit Jake Rudock!

When Jake Rudock took over last season for Saint Thomas most had no idea what he could do for the Raiders. Once the season got started he led Saint Thomas offense to one of the highest scoring units to ever coming through their program. Rudock showed some impressive skills as a quarterback and that led to schools like Wisconsin and Iowa to offering him. As we enter the 2010 season Rudock made an early commitment to the Iowa Hawkeyes. We have seen him perform at camps, combines and live in games and came away with the same impression every time, Jake is pretty darn good.

Offer is off to Wake!

Offer is off to Wake!

When Jim Grobe took over as head coach of Wake Forest, he made Florida a top priority on the recruiting trail. They landed prospects like Alphonso Smith who went on to have an All-American type career before going to the NFL. Led by ace recruiter Ray McCartney the Demon Deacons have done a good job of recruiting the sun-shine state. Yesterday the Deacs landed Gods Power Offor. The talented defensive end is one of the best prospects that no one talks about in South Florida. Along with Wake the SEC came into Florida and landed two very good prospects in Roderick Ryles (Arkansas) and Thomas Finnie (South Carolina). Marshall came into Florida and nabbed Dontae West.

Oliver Vigile-2011Harmon Brown-2011Cortez Davis

From Left to Right: Oliver Vigille, Harmon Brown and Cortez Davis

Over the past week the Syracuse Orangemen look like they have made an impact in South Florida. They went into Dade and Broward Counties and landed two very good prospects in Harmon Brown and Oliver Vigille. Brown is a vocal leader on the field and one of the better cornerback prospects in South Florida. Vigille does not have a ton of hype following him around but look for that to change this fall. He is an undersized linebacker that has your typical Florida speed and athletic ability. Cortez Davis of Daytona Mainland switched his commitment from Florida State to Clemson University.
