Montgomery trying to make name for himself!

Montgomery trying to make name for himself!

This time last year Badger Sports put on their annual 7-on-7 event. One of the names that really stood out was Nick Waisome. The talented cornerback showcased his skills before scouts from recruiting networks from across the nation. This year Waisome continued to impress as he went against the top receivers in Florida and did not back down. Waisome is not the only prospect from South Lake that recruiters should take notice of. His teammate Jordan Montgomery is another player who has already received interest from college coaches from all over the country. These are just two of the well known prospects from South Lake. Jessie York-2011-WR

Over the years one team that has had a ton of talent come through their program was Boyd Anderson. This upcoming season should not be any different as the Cobras will be a fun team to watch. On offense they are loaded at wide receiver. They will be led by Jessie York and Amp Williams. On defense the Cobras bring back a ton of talent as well. Their secondary could end up the best in Broward County. They are led by cornerback Harmon Brown. His teammate Brandon Butler will be more of the more heavily recruited defensive backs this upcoming season. Their front seven is led by linebacker Kent Turene and Shaun Ward. These two make things happen when they are on the football field. The talent level does not drop from there as we will also take a look at Courtney Bynes-Ath, Patrick James, Dane James and Kameron Davis. All of these prospects will get some major looks this upcoming season. Davis could end up one of the premier offensive line prospects for 2012. ESS will now break down each prospect and give you insight into the Boyd Anderson program.

One of Browards finest: Jarrard Randall

One of Browards finest: Jarrard Randall

For the better part of this past decade Chaminade High School was one of the best football programs in Florida. They had won two state championships and were in contention for a few more. In 2008 the program fell of the map before regaining the form in 2009. It was not till the 2nd round of the playoffs that anyone took notice of Chaminade. They were faced with the daunting task of beating Pahokee High who had won five titles in the previous 6 seasons. Most felt that Chaminade would just be a bump in the road for Pahokee 6 title. Those that felt that way could not be more wrong as Chaminade upset Pahokee and made it all the way to the state semi-finals before losing to Tampa Catholic. This year Chaminade should be the favorite to come out of the South as they are one of the best teams in Broward County in 2010. They are led by super talented senior quarterback Jarrard Randall. Along with Randall Chaminade have two other prospects that are starting to draw interest as well. Running back/defensive back Curtric Evans and defensive back John Aiken. All three players will end up with D1 offers before all is said and done.

Darryl Monroe-Olympia LB trying to make a name for himself!

Darryl Monroe-Olympia LB trying to make a name for himself!

Last year Olympia High sent two players to Northwestern; Trevor Simien-QB and Rashard Jackson-WR. Both prospects were amongst the top prospects at their position in Central Florida. This year Olympia brings back one of the most talented junior classes in the state. When you look at their junior class there could be as many as 4-5 players who could receive D1 offers. The top prospect for Olympia this year will be Deon Green. He has only played one year of football for Olympia. Along with Green on defense Olympia has a top rated safety in Corian Hamilton. He already has offers from some BCS school. The third prospect on the Olympia football team that will draw some interest this spring is running back Jairus Pace.

Tom Smith-One of Central Florida's top talents!

Tom Smith-One of Central Florida's top talents!

With spring football right around the corner there is one team that should be considered one of the contenders for the 6A Crown in 2010 is Apopka. Along with Dr. Phillips, Apopka returns one of the more talented teams in Central Florida. They will be led by talented senior Tom Smith. He will be one of the most sought after backs in Central Florida this season. He is a bigger back (5′10-210) who can run both between the tackles and outside. Most of his runs we will focus on will be to the outside. Along with Smith is his backfield mate Qua Barnes. The talented sophomore now looks towards his junior season where Barnes will start to draw some attention his way. Even though he is the smaller of the two backs, Barnes runs between the tackles. One of the guys leading the way for both backs is Ty Darlington. He was only a sophomore last season. He is already one of Apopka best offensive lineman.
