ESS takes an inside look at the Dr. Phillips Panthers. They will once again be one of the top teams in Central Florida next season. They lost to Deland who ended up playing for a State Title against Miramar. We expect Dr. Phillips to once again be one of the favorites to play for the 6A Crown in 2010. Look out for prospects like Demetrius Hart, Ha-Sean Clinton Dix, Laquinton Smith, Roderick Ryles and Chris Curtis. All should get looks from D1 programs next season. Below is a breakdown of each prospect to watch out for and their hi-light clips.

Demetrius Hart- When you watch Hart run there is plenty to like. The talented back from Dr. Phillips is a threat to take it the distance anywhere on the football field. He has the ability to make plays on offense, defense and special teams. Get him in the open and Hart is tough to bring down. Hart has the tools you want to see in a running back. He has good speed and quickness, balance and vision. He can also make defenders miss which is always important. (Highlight Video)

Ha Sean Clinton-Dix- The first time we watched Dix was as a sophomore at Edgewater. His film looked great then and he gets better every year in high school. Dix has since moved over to Dr. Phillips. He plays safety and should be one of the highest rated players at his position in Florida. He loves to come up and play the run. That alone will catch the eyes of college recruiters. We expect Dix to be one of the top rated defensive backs in Florida next season. (Highlight Video)

Kenny Shaw- Shaw is one of the 2010 prospects we will feature. He is one of the better route runners in the state of Florida. He plays with a nice blend of speed and quickness. He needs to work on his overall strength but look for Shaw to be very productive in college. He reminds us of former Seminole Snoop Minnis. Shaw is heading to Tallahassee to play for the Seminoles. Smith could end up playing safety or linebacker in college!

Smith could end up playing safety or linebacker in college!

Laquinton Smith-When you look at Dr. Phillips secondary they could be one of the best in Florida next year. Smith can play either safety spot and be effective. He is solid at both stopping the run and going into pass coverage. His senior footage will determine how heavily Smith gets recruited. He grades out as D1 prospect right now. (Highlight Video)

Athlete Roderick Ryles!

Athlete Roderick Ryles!

Roderick Ryles-With Dix and Smith in the secondary, Ryles may get overlooked some. He is solid against the run. We feel his best position right now may be the strong safety spot. Ryles will draw interest next season because he has the physical attributes that college coaches are looking for. (Highlight Video)

Chris Curtis- Here is a versatile defensive player who can line up anywhere in the front seven. We feel that Curtis could end up at defensive or possibly even linebacker in college. He is the ideal 3-4 rush end/linebacker. You want to get him on the edge and chase the ball carrier. He is not as well known as some of his teammates right now but Curtis should draw some interest. Look for Curtis to end up getting some looks from D1 programs. (Highlight Video)
