Ed Foley just waiting for an opportunity!

Ed Foley just waiting for an opportunity!

The State of Florida turns out over 300+ D1 prospects every year. This year will be no different but those numbers could close as high as 400 for the class of 2010. Among those that have yet to commit is Darrin Kitchens on Homestead High School. The heat has turned up for the talented linebacker and he now has teams like Florida and Florida State battling it out for his services. He is not the only prospect on the board that has yet to make a decision on where he is going to school. We discuss all of the big name prospects on ESS but the guys who have slid under the radar need to be talked about as well.

One prospect that we will feature today is Anthony Clark of Miami Palmetto. We had the opportunity to watch Clark perform this year against Homestead High School. We have also watched about 4-5 game films of Miami Palmetto from this past season. Clark stood out in many of those games as one of the top players on the field. We take an in-depth look at the talented junior.

Dungy on the rise!
Dungy on the rise!

When ESS went to the USF Sling and Shoot two summers ago one name that popped up on the radar screen was Eric Dungy. The two way standout was a raw prospect but one with nice upside. He was still getting used to the speed and quickness of Florida football. Two years later the talented athlete is starting to draw interest from BCS programs. ESS will breakdown the Tampa Plant prospect and give you are reason for his transition from a potential D1 prospect to possibly on the verge of signing with a BCS school.

Ryan Brynson under the radar no more!

Ryan Brynson under the radar no more!

In September ESS was in the Jacksonville area and all the talk of local coaches was about Menedez High School. Each School we went into another coach told us to go and check out linebacker Tony Steward. We decided the trip to Menedez was worth it. While at Menedez we had the opportunity to meet with Steward. The talented linebacker definitely passed the look test. After watching his film it was obvious why local coaches were so high on the talented linebacker. Not only was Steward a prospect we checked out his teammate Ryan Bryson was another player who caught our eye. ESS breaks down both players and gives you an inside look at each prospect.

Devon Wright leads talented group of prospects heading to Minnesota!

Devon Wright leads talented group of prospects heading to Minnesota!

One thing is for certain more and more programs from around the country are starting to recruit Florida heavily. One of those programs that have made a name for themselves this year is the Minnesota Golden Gophers. Right now they sit at 5 commitments from the Sun-Shine State. James Green was an impressive get as the Gophers pulled in an elite wide receiver. Their next get was Tyrone Buie. He is a talented defensive back from the State Champions from the 2008 season. Along with Buie and Green the Gophers have pulled in three other prospects from Florida, Donnell Kirkwood (RB-Delray Atlantic), Jon Ragoo (OL-Miami Pace) and Devon Wright (RB-Taravella). All five of these prospects have a chance to make an impact for the Gophers. ESS will breakdown each prospect and gives you insight into their future.
