Cedric Walker-2011 WR/RB

ESS continues to bring you hi-lights of some of the top players in Florida. For the class of 2011 there will be many prospects that pop up on the radar screen and draw the attention of college scouts and recruiters. Two prospects that have caught our eye is Gulliver Prep Athlete Tacoi Sumler and Athlete Cedric Walker. Both prospects can play on either side of the football in college.

Cedric Walker-RB/WR-Walker can play on either side of the football. When on offense he can either line up as a slot receiver or a running back. He has the type of quickness that allows him to make plays. As a receiver, Walker has pretty good hands and once in the open field can be dangerous. Look for Walker to draw some interest next spring as college coaches come through Coach Sims office. (Video Link)

Not only is Walker going to get some looks so will his teammate Tacoi Sumler. Two years ago I was in Coach Sims office at Gulliver and he was showing film of his senior running back. Thing was it was not his senior back that came on the TV screen but Sumler instead. He was so impressive and at the time Sumler was only in his sophomore season. Two years later, Sumler already has gotten the attention of scouts and college recruiters. His speed allows him to be a threat from anywhere on the field. On defense he has the ability to be a very good cornerback. Look for Sumler stock to really rise during spring football. (Video Link)
