Dent Holds Two Offers, More On The Way?

Greg Dent is quietly having another solid year, but the 5’11, 180 pound WR/DB doesn’t have the offers to show for his outstanding play.  Right now Dent currently holds two offers.  They are from UM and FIU.

“I’m having a good year, but I haven’t played my best game yet.”

One reason Dent doesn’t see more offers could be because of his desire to play wide receiver at the next level.  At 5’11 he’s got average size, but as a DB he’s just what college coaches are looking for.  However Dent has good reason to want to stay on the offensive side of the ball.  He’s a playmaker who had nearly 600 yards receiving and  7 TD’s as a junior in 2008.

This season Dent is playing on both sides of the ball full time.  His speed and ability to make the big play has peaked the interest of two other Florida schools, FSU and USF.

“I talk with Florida State and USF probably once a week.”

Dent says Coach Patrick from USF is talking about bringing him in for an official visit after the season.  As of now he doesn’t have any visits scheduled, but USF, FIU, Ole Miss and FSU will likely get visits.

Although Greg claims no favorites and says he’s “open”, he will admit that if FSU offers he’ll commit on the spot.

“Yeah I’ve said it before.  If FSU offers I’ll commit, but they haven’t, so until then I’m still open.”

For now Dent is going to concentrate on finishing out his senior season and then flip his attention to recruiting once the year is done.
