Jeff Luc has an impressive game with double digit tackles!
Ft. Pierce Central and Treasure Coast High Schools are quickly becoming rivals. They fought hard all night long before Treasure Coast iced the game late in the 2nd half with a block punt that gave them a double digit lead. Junior defensive tackle Jephte Leveille came up with the block punt which led to the final points being scored. One thing is for certain these were two teams that had plenty of talent on display.

Treasure Coast linebacking corps one of the best in Florida!
Led by their defense, Treasure Coast came up big all game long. Their Linebacker corps of Jeff Luc, Deon Rodgers, Ed Foley and Brandon Musgrave smothered Ft. Pierce Central’s offense all game long. It seemed like Foley was in their backfield more than the Ft. Pierce players. He is very active and if Foley continues to play at this high of level there should be some teams that give him a look. Foley is undersized at 5′10, 185 pounds but almost impossible to block. He had to have close to 15 tackles on the night. His teammate Jeff Luc also put in an impressive performance. Luc had double digit tackles as well on the night. Both Foley and Luc would be most coach’s dream. If they were not enough, Deon Rodgers also came to play. Not to be left out is Brandyn Musgrave. What is crazy is one of Treasure Coast best players Eric Alvarez who also plays linebacker was out with a leg injury.

Possible top prospect for 2011 Jephte Leveille!
In front of Treasure Coast linebacking corps is defensive tackle Jephte Leveille. He was very active all night long and seemed to live in the backfield of Ft. Pierce Central. He had multiple tackles for loss and a couple of quarterback sacks. Look for Leveille to possibly move to Jeff Luc position next season and draw major attention. He plays with a non-stop motor and seemed to make something happen all night long.
On offense Treasure Coast was led by RB/FB Cedrick Wilcox. The talented back showed the ability to not only run the football but also be an effective receiver as well. He has very good hands and is a tough player for defenses to defend against. Wilcox runs hard and punishes the defense well into the 4th quarter.
Others to keep an eye on: Lamarcus Brutus and Keelin Smith. Both Players made an impact on Ft. Pierce Central’s offense. They were almost impossible to pass on all night long. Look for both of these players to receive big time offers. We were told that both Brutus and Smith received offers early on from North Carolina. After their performances the other night it looks like Florida State may be next on board.

Giorgio Newberry 2011 prospect one of his class tallest prospects!
Ft Pierce Central gave a valiant effort but came up short. Their offense struggled all night long to get the ball into the end-zone. While they had their opportunities, Ft. Pierce Central did not cash in. Their offensive line has two of the better looking 2011 prospects in Giorgio Newberry and center Mike Marsille. Both go both ways which is quite impressive for how big they are. Neither prospect has even come close to living up to their potential. We feel both players will draw a ton of interest next season.
In a surprise move this season Ft. Pierce Central moved their quarterback Tim Smith to defensive back. Smith is the type of prospect that can make an impact on either side of the football. He has good size (6′2, 175). And Smith does not getting physical. He is a very good athlete as well and should make some team very happy at the next level.
Two other prospects to keep an eye on would be Mario Chavis (DB) and Jabari Cargill. Both players could end up with D1 offers.
Final Thoughts: Treasure coast is a team that if they make it into the playoffs could end up tough to beat. They have one thing all good teams must have and that’s a defense. Their defense is very good and should keep them in every game. If they are able to run the ball effective with Cedrick Wilcox they should be able stay in most games. How far they go will depend on whether or not their defense comes to play every game.
For Ft. Pierce Central they have enough parts on both sides of the football to be a pretty solid team. They have a solid defense but their offense needs to score. No matter how good your defense is, the offense needs to score more than ten points.

Ed Foley-Team MVP!
