Olympic Heights Defense getting instructions from Head Coach Henghold and his assistant coaches!
On Thursday night ESS made the trip up to Palm Beach county to check out Boynton Beach vs. Olympic Heights. Both teams came into the game with much to prove. Olympic Heights running back Batelmy Exil led the Olympic Heights offense with over 140 yards on 16 carries. He was not the only one to have success running the football. Tavon Jenkins also helped out the rushing attack for Olympic Heights. On the night Olympic Heights rushed for 221 yards on 48 carries. Every single one of those carries helped them to a 27-26 victory. For Boynton Beach they were handed another close loss. They were led by Marcus Davis who is only a freshman. His 340 yards passing the football and two touchdowns helped keep the game close. If not for his performance Boynton Beach would have lost the game by a wider margin.
ESS first look is at Olympic Heights. The wing-t was in full effect last night as Olympic Heights ran the football 48 times. After a lightning delay and it pouring in the 2nd half, Olympic heights leaned on its rushing attack to pull this game out. A name to remember after this game was Batelmy Exil. He ran with authority all night long. He was injured in the game as was able to come back and help lead his team to a big win over cross-town rival Boynton Beach. Exil was not the only running back having success against Boynton Beach. Tavon Jenkins also came to play in this game. Jenkins is not real big (5′8, 170) but he sure is explosive. He has a great first step which allows him to set up a defender and than blow by them. Because of his speed and quickness, Jenkins will get D1 offers. Jenkins is one of the most talented athletes in Palm Beach County.

Olympic Heights OL leads the way!
Where games are won and lost is up front. Olympic Heights was led by an offensive line that deserves a ton of credit. They went against a very good defensive front from Boynton Beach. Edivlado Fontes is an offensive line prospect we featured this summer. The 6′3, 270 pound lineman was able to help open some big holes which led to Exil and Jenkins having productive nights. Sophomore Kelly Parfiitt also had a good night. Look for Kelly to draw some interest from college coaches over the next two years. The rest of the offensive line also played very well.
Others of interest: Casey Knard-2011 (Ivy League prospect), Zachary Slafsky-2012(Linebacker), Julio Vasquez-2011(Linebacker) and Brian Blackwell-2010 (Defensive Line).

2013 Star QB Marcus Davis!
With Boynton Beach it was the Marcus Davis and Edwin Thomas show. Both had impressive evenings as Boynton Beach almost pulled the come from behind win out. After falling down 21-7 at halftime, Boynton Beach rallied from behind to take the lead in the 2nd half. Davis who is only a freshman was magical at times. He is very electric with the football in his hands. He can throw the ball very well. For only a freshman he showed great composure. He also has the ability to break down a defense with his legs. Davis is a prospect that high school football fans and college coaches will need to keep an eye on over the next three years.

Thomas is small but explosive!
Davis favorite target was another young prospect. Edwin Davis is a 2012 prospect that had over 100 yards receiving for Boynton Beach. He made big plays all night for the Boynton Beach offense. Davis only draw back is his size. He is around 5′6 and weighs 160 pounds. Davis has the ability to make a big play every time he touches the football.

Harris has offers from Miami and South Carolina!
On defense Boynton Beach is led by the junior defensive end John Harris and Marcus Bean. Both are very active and played well in the 2nd half of the game. Bean had a block punt which led to the turn around in the 2nd half. He also had about 5-6 tackles for Boynton Beach defense. Harris who has already been offered by University of Miami and South Carolina showed some promise as well.

Josh Kelly Boynton Beach starting running back!
Under the radar:
Josh Kelly. The Boynton Beach running back has plenty of talent. He showed off impressive hands out of the backfield. When he gets the ball, Kelly runs hard and can pick up the tough yards. Here is a back that will end up going to junior college and possibly end up one of the more heavily recruited players at his position.
