Under the Radar: Tucker Blanton

Under the radar lineman Tucker Blanton!

Under the radar lineman Tucker Blanton!

One school that does not get a ton of pub is a small private school in Jacksonville named Providence High. This year they have an offensive line prospect in Tucker Blanton who has nice size (6′6/270). He is one of the main cogs on an offensive line that is trying to open up running lanes for their backs to run through. Blanton is a kid that has the potential to be a very good prospect down the road. He has the size, above average athletic ability and a great attitude. He is a hard working kid that will do what it takes to get better on the football field. His coach believes in him because they run behind Blanton on most of their offensive plays.

Ryan Williams-Miramar QB leads Miramar to win over Plantation!

Ryan Williams-Miramar QB leads Miramar to win over Plantation!

When Miramar lost Eugene Smith to graduation many wondered how they would fare. Three games into the season Miramar is undefeated after beating Plantation. The two teams came into the game with the district lead in play. Plantation kept the game close most of the first half before penalties and mistakes cost them the game. Led by transfer Ryan Williams, Miramar found their replacement for Smith. While they are not as explosive as they were last year, Williams has done a good job of filling in for the former Patriot. With the win Miramar took the lead in the district race.

Dillard vs. Douglas Recap!

Friday, September 25th, 2009

Dillard OL led by Quinton Roland took over game in 2nd half!

Dillard OL led by Quinton Roland took over game in 2nd half!

Coming into the game between Dillard and Douglas most would have felt that Douglas would not have had much of a shot. The Eagles were up by ten point’s right before half. One poor decision kicking to Jazz Moss with less than five seconds left could have cost Douglas the game. They never seemed to rebound from the 70+ yard kick off return that put the game within reach at halftime. Dillard came out in the 2nd half and took over the game and won 38-28. It was another special team’s onside kick that went back for a touchdown and put the game out of reach. ESS will break down both teams and tell you who to check out not only for this season but 2011, 2012 and 2013.

Naples win opener against Dunbar High!

Naples win opener against Dunbar High!

By: Elite Scouting Services Staff

Since Head Coach Bill Kramer took over the Naples they have become of the elite programs in Florida. He has gone on to win two state titles and is looking for a third this season. Naples lost a few good prospects from last year’s team (Nick Alajajin and Carlos Hyde) but once again should be good again in 2009. This past weakened Naples played their opener against Dunbar high and came away with a 14-12 victory. Naples did not play a great game but still managed to come out with the win. ESS will break down some of Naples key performers from this year’s team and give you a glimpse at what some of them look like.

Top rated qb for 2012 Bailal Marshall!

Top rated qb for 2012 Bailal Marshall!

Coach Mike Sonnerborn entered the 2009 season with a young but very talented football team. When you take a look at his roster it is loaded with prospects in the class of 2011 and 2012. Most of his top players this season are either juniors or sophomores. One of those talented sophomores is Bailal Marshall. The Dade Christian quarterback impresses you the first time the film turns on. Along with Marshall the backfield should be set for the next two years with running backs Chris Elliot and Hugh Miles. Both players can play multiple positions at the next level. These are just some of the players we will look at from Dade Christian.

Talented LB makes a name for himself!

Talented LB makes a name for himself!

Elite Scouting likes to be the first to break news and here are two players that those that follow recruiting should know all about. Tony Steward is well known to the high school coaches in his area. Pretty much every high school coach we visited in the St. Augustine/Nease area told us to visit Menendez High School. ESS was not disappointed as Linebacker Tony Steward was very impressive when we met him. The 6′2/220 pound linebacker can move well and does not mind coming up and smacking a ball carrier in the mouth. Not only is Steward a prospect to watch out for his teammate Ryan Brinson will also draw attention as well this fall. ESS will break down the two talented players and give insight on what to look for out of these two prospects.

North Florida Christian: Going for the repeat!

Florida State commit quarterback Clint Trickett!

Florida State commit quarterback Clint Trickett!

Two years ago North Florida Christian played American Heritage for the state championship. What was supposed to be a game that American Heritage was supposed to win big became a shoot-0ut that came down to the final drive. With less than a minute left American Heritage kicked a field goal to win the championship. That game was one that quarterback Clint Trickett would not forget. He made sure that NFC would not be let down again. Last year North Florida Christian beat Ft. Meade to take home the crown. Now after winning the title in 2008, NFC is trying to repeat as champions. Not since Ernie Sims was at NFC have they had the opportunity to do so. NFC has already gotten off to a great start to the season after an impressive win against State Champions Jupiter Christian. Here is ESS breakdown of NFC.

MVP Jakhari Gore rushes for 239 yards on 26 carries and scores 3tds.

MVP Jakhari Gore rushes for 239 yards on 26 carries and scores 3tds.

Last year ESS had the opportunity to watch South Dade play against Coral Reef. In less than a year they are a much improved football team. Tonight South Dade showed how much they improved by taking one of the top teams in Dade County to the wire. In what most felt would be an easy game for Columbus high school became a struggle to the end. With less than 30 seconds left in the game Jakhari Gore punched it in from the 2 yard line for his third rushing touchdown to give the Explorers the win. South Dade fought hard all the way to the end until Columbus put the game away with Gore go ahead touchdown. Both teams had plenty of stars but in the end the MVP of the game was Gore. He finished with 26 carries, 239 yards and three touchdowns. For South Dade their stars were on both sides of the football. ESS will break down the game and give you insight into how these teams should fare the rest of the season.

Monday, September 14th, 2009
Javon Bell Led Ribault with over 200 yards receiving and 3 touchdowns including the game winner.

Javon Bell Led Ribault with over 200 yards receiving and 3 touchdowns including the game winner.

In part one of Ribault vs. First Coast we broke down First Coast football team. In part two we will go over Ribault who was quite impressive on Friday night. Coach Anthony Flynn took over two years ago and has done a tremendous job of turning this football program around. Ribault is now one of the more talented teams in Jacksonville. Led by Receiver Javon Bell, Ribault can score anytime he is on the football field. If that were not enough junior receivers AC Copeland lines up on the other side of the field. He is a big time talent for the class of 2011. Throwing them the ball is Malik Jackson. He played well the other night and the talented signal caller gets it done on and off the field. These are just three of the prospects we will discuss on Ribault. ESS will break down the rest of their team as well.
