USC Comes Through With Offer!

USC Comes Through With Offer!

By: Elite Scouting Services Staff

The first time Elite Scouting Services saw Delvin Jones, he was only a freshman at Homestead High School. Two years later we made the trip over to LaSalle High School and noticed this 6′5, 230 pound receiver. We realized quickly that Jones had transferred over to a new school. Jones pretty much stood out in every drill. In the first weeks of the season Delvin recorded multiple sacks in pretty much every game he played in. He also played some receiver for LaSalle. After a great junior year Delvin name started to get onto the recruiting radar.

What came next was a 7-0n-7 event where Delvin tried out for the team. With reporters from pretty much every internet site in attendance they all found out what we already knew, Delvin Hughes was a the real deal. After his performance Delvin received multiple offers. One offer that Delvin was really waiting for came in the mail recently. Delvin contacted us about his most recent offer, here is what he had to say,” USC offered, that’s the one offer I really wanted. They are a great program and one that I am definitely interested in,” Delvin Said. USC is not the only big time program to offer Delvin; he received his first offer from University of Tennessee. We got another text from Delvin today telling us how UCF has offered. This trend of offers should continue through the summer.

So where will Delvin be playing his football this fall,” I transferred to Palmetto high school. They are going to allow me to play receiver. I want to show everyone that I am the best receiver in South Florida,” Delvin Said. He will be a major mismatch for every team Delvin faces this fall.

Final Thoughts: Delvin is just one of the many reasons why South Florida will be one of the best areas in the country this year for talent. Usually a 6′5, 230 pound receiver would not go unnoticed but that is what happened to Delvin until we watched him practice last spring at LaSalle. He is a kid that has great size, speed and athletic ability. Delvin could end up on either side of the football. He has the ability to play tight end or defensive end in college. With as much talent as he brings to the table you can bet that the offers will continue to roll in. There is a reason why USC is willing to come this far to recruit a defensive end from Florida, it’s because of how talented Delvin really is.
