Under the Radar: Billy Cobb-Trinity Christian-QB-Class of 2016

Over the past three seasons each one has ended the same way for Trinity Christian, with a state title. They have become one of the premier programs in Florida under Coach Verlon Dorminey. One of the big reasons why is because Trinity Christian has been loaded with talent throughout their roster. They also have been led by players like Billy Cobb. The senior quarterback has led the Trinity Christian football team to multiple state title wins. He leaves as one of the most decorated quarterbacks to ever play at the school. We will break down the talented signal caller and what to expect with Cobb moving forward. 

What we like about Cobb: One thing that counts for our scouts at Elite is the ability to produce on the football field. While there may be quarterbacks with a stronger arm, or one that may be more physically gifted, Cobb has done something you can’t question and that is winning. He has been a big reason for Trinity Christian winning the state title the past two seasons. He has the ability to make throws on both the run and in the pocket. He also can make the big play. You watch Trinity play and he gives his receivers a chance to catch the football. He does not try and make plays when nothing is there. 

Final Thoughts: Cobb is a player that we will watch to see how recruitment goes. There is going to be one very lucky team come NSD. If you want a winner and a player that makes things happen, Cobb is the guy you want. He has proven himself over and over again.
