St. Thomas Aquinas’ Defense commands respect with State Title Shutout

The final score from last nights game between St. Thomas Aquinas and Osceola 31-0; and the margin of victory could of easily been an additional 30 points. From kickoff to closing moments, St. Thomas’ defense controlled the game. Osceola’s offense ran more plays (40) than it gained in total yards (38). The Raiders’ defensive lineman and Duke University commitment, Brandon Boyce, took home the game’s MVP honors with 9 total tackles, an assisted sack, and 4.5 tackles for loss. He lead his defense by setting the tempo from start to finish. University of Miami commitment Jordan Scarlett lead the Raiders’ offense with 121 yards and a touchdown.

Elite congratulates Head Coach Rocco Casullo on his second state title and St. Thomas’ 8th overall. In addition, congratulations to Osceola on playing a tough season and making it to the 7A State Title Game. Although, St. Thomas was simply too much for any high school football program to handle last night.
