2015 FHSAA CLASS 1A FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP BRACKET

trey sanders-2019

The start of the 2015 FHSAA Playoffs starts tomorrow on Thursday November 12. The return of Pahokee Senior High is great for Florida High School football fans. Pahokee who dominated for years has been out of the playoff picture for the past few seasons. This year led by Alphonso Smith a former Pahokee football player they are back in the hunt.

Who to look out for: McArthur Burnett-SR-Athlete-5’10-185. Burnette is your typical Pahokee football star. Not only does he have the talent, the confidence in his game is very evident every-time he steps on the football field. He is the type of player who can go the distance anytime the ball is in his hands.

Potential Match-Up: In round three with the chance to go to the state finals Pahokee could end up playing Madison County. Here is a program that always seems to be in the discussion when it comes to making a run at a State Championship.

Repeat….Could Port St. Joe make a repeat run to the state championship. Port St Joe has a big time freshman prospect in Trey Sanders who made his mark last season. Sanders has rushed for over 640 yards and had 8 touchdowns. He has also chipped in with close to 100 yards receiving. Troy Williams will also have to make his presence felt if Port St Joe is going to make another run to Orlando.

Final Thoughts: Class 1A may have its best field since the classifications were broken up into 8 separate groups. Port St. Joe (Defending State Champs), Madison County, Pahokee, Fort Meade, Trenton, Fort White and Jefferson County all being put in the same Class will make this one classification to follow the next few weeks.
