They have players like Devin Washington, Kendrick Hair and Michael Miller. All three prospects will receive interest from D1 and FCS level programs. Another star of the group is receiver Kermit Whitfield. He may just be the fastest player in Florida this year. When you consider that the University of Miami, Florida State and Florida did not have a single player drafted in either round 1 or 2 that makes this even more impressive. Every year the state of Florida produces as much or more NFL talent than any other in the country. With over 350 players each year signing D1 scholarships that number should continue to grow. This year there are so many great prospects who could end up as the top player. This spring we decided to add another 50 players to our list because there are so many quality prospects in 2013. This year there will be over 350-400 prospects who either sign D1 letter intents or go to junior college and end up in the D1 ranks two years later. The class of 2013 pre-spring list was compiled of prospects we have seen at summer camps, live in games, at 7-on-7 tournaments and combines. By Charles Fishbein on Wednesday April 4, 20120

Ricardo Johnson III making a name for himself!

One program over the years which has produced some of the top talent year in and year out is Cretin Derham Sr. High. It has produced a Heisman Trophy winner and National Championship quarterback Chris Weinke. Another National Championship quarterback was Steve Walsh. There could have been a third one if not for Joe Maurer taking his talents to the MLB. The next in line is Ricardo Johnson the III. Since Derham does not allow sophomores to start at quarterback, he made his mark on JV. Johnson is already working with some of the premier coaches in the country so we expect him to continue his rise to the top.
